can you give any facts about how knife party come up with the monologue of Edm death Machine?

I think the title and lyrics pretty much speaks for itself. 

A take on how electronic music has risen so much in popularity the last few years? “EDM” isn’t the most popular term in some circles. My thoughts though - I can’t speak on behalf of Rob or Gareth.
